Approach to Resources
The key criteria I use when choosing material are:
(i) Fun – Would I have loved covering these ideas in this way when I was a student?
(ii) Real World Artefacts – Again, where possible, I try to find primary resources which are not specifically designed for teaching. This, I hope, reinforces the notion that Philosophical ideas are very much at play in “The Real World”.
(iii) Gender & Race – Where possible I choose female authors or people of color in the material. Philosophy, like many disciplines, has work to do here.
Note: This site is not affiliated in any official (or unofficial) way with the NCCA, JCT, Department of Education etc.. This is purely a personal project.
